Community Project Indicators Framework
21 April 2003
by Tess Casey

The Ministry of Health has recently published the Community Project Indicators Framework (CPIF). The Framework has been developed in response to the NZ Public Health and Disability Act 2000, which emphasises ...

the need for publicly funded health services to forge strong links with the communities they serve.  It is designed to help those who are funding or providing a community project in the health sector to assess the progress of their project.  It is also applicable to community projects in other sectors as a guide to those who want to plan, self-assess, or report back to their communities or funders on what is happening with their project.  If you are looking for a model for doing this it might be a good place to start.  It is quite long but you can pick and choose which sections you wish to use.  It is also stressed that the Framework is still in draft form and those who have developed it are keen to receive feedback from those who have used it so they can refine it if necessary.

The publication is available in hard copy from:

It can also be downloaded from the Ministry’s website: www.moh.govt.nz
