Partnerships with Business Workshops
12 May 2003
by Tess Casey

The Glen Innes Family Centre in Auckland is proposing to hold two workshops (one in Auckland and one in Wellington) for the community sector on ‘how-to’ establish and maintain productive and longer-term work relationships with business groups.

The workshops will be led by Barrie Thomas (the Body Shop) and John Murphy (Mornington Community Connections, Australia) and the topics to be covered are:
 The Role of Business in Supporting Communities
 Partnerships with Business: Not a Quick Fix Despite all the Hype

The 2.5 hour workshops are planned for late June or early July and will cost approximately $20.  At this stage the organisers would like to receive expressions of interest from those interested in attending the workshops.  You can register your interest online at www.gifc.co.nz  or contact the Glen Innes Family Centre (Tel: 09 570 6250 or Fax: 09 521 1419).  This needs to be done by 16 May.

If you are interested in the topic but don’t think you can make it to a workshop check out the presenters website at www.communityconnections.com.au
