they have received from groups and volunteers that they:
 Are sometimes unsure what kind of insurance they require (if any)
 Find insurance too expensive, particularly indemnity insurance for community and sporting events.
 Are worried about personal liability in the event of an accident or something going wrong within their organisation.

They are seeking early input and involvement into this project and would welcome hearing organisations’ experiences and/or knowledge of risk management, liability and insurance issues.   I would be keen to hear from you if you have any queries or issues around this – especially in relation to ‘community participation’ - so that VASS can raise them with those running the project.
